You didn’t make it for the American Idol tryouts? Want to be an actor/actress? Participants work in a group to ‘make’ an object, scene or mimic an activity. Great fun for large groups, get everyone involved. Maybe it’s forming a “Q” with your team or maybe you need to set a scene from your favorite movie….take lots of pictures of your favorite team hamming it up!

Participants get in a large circle. People are asked to hold hands through a hoop. Music is played and people must pass the hoop to the next person in the circle, in the direction called, without letting go of either person’s hands. When the music stops, if you have a hoop on you, you’re out. Prizes can be given for the last one, three or five people left!

A team game with a recommended minimum of ten per team. Each team lines up and is given a tennis ball. The members must pass the tennis ball to the next person holding it between their chin & neck. Nobody may use their hands. The ball is passed to the back then the front. First team to do it is the winner! (HINT: Get a team of men together and watch the reaction!)

Pick teams of 5 or more. Each team has a 5 gallon bucket of water in front of them and a large sponge. The first person in line fills their sponge with water, runs across the yard/lawn to a smaller bucket and squeezes the water into it. They return to their team and hand the sponge to the next person in line. First team to fill the smaller bucket to the Full Line sits down and is the winner. For a particularly messy event substitute the water for gel or goo!

Great team/corporate game. One person on a team is wrapped with brightly colored paper. Then they are ‘decorated’ with other items: bows, stickers, glow sticks, whatever you’ve chosen.. The audience gets to pick their favorite!

Same as “Present Wrap” but with a Halloween theme. Simply replace the wrapping paper & bows with two rolls of toilet paper per person & orange/black stickers or other Halloween-themed decorations. The audience still gets to pick their favorite.

This is a team game using three or four people. Each team picks a “stuffee”, the remaining members are the “stuffers”. Balloons are dumped out for the team members to blow them up and “stuff” them under a T-shirt the “stuffee” is wearing. The team with the most balloons stuffed at the end of the given time is the winner.

This favorite pits your two-person team against everyone else’s two-person team. Toss a water balloon back and forth; after each successful catch, take one step back. As the space between you widens, so does the fun! Once the balloon breaks your team is out. Great for large groups! Give prizes to the last team with a balloon in tact. This can also be done with eggs (Easy=Hard Boiled, Challenging=Raw)!

Get everyone ready to bend! This traditional game can be used anywhere, inside or out. You can also make it a couple’s game by having pairs of people go under at once.

Several ways to get everyone meeting each other. Each person is given a card. The DJ/MC calls out a poker hand “Full House”, people must get together in a group of five people that make up a pair & three of a kind. Alternate take: DJ/MC calls out a group of numbers: “2’s through 7’s”, “Aces, Royalty & 8’s”. These people must all find each other and build a house out of their cards.
Yes, you got it right. No karaoke needed! It’s a team game that requires singing - sans the music. Each team will listen for a cue word from the DJ, say “Love”, then the first team to agree on a song to sing with “Love” in it sings it (a few lines) then they are ‘scored’ by a guest panel (the HR Dept., parents of the Birthday celebrant, etc.) Each team has a shot at the word or subject material given by the DJ. Play to a certain number of points, have teams compete against each other, etc.
Everyone sits in a chair in a circle, one person gets up leaving one empty chair and is “it” standing in the middle. Everyone sitting moves in the direction called (left or right) to the empty chair thus creating a ‘wave’ of people with an open chair constantly changing. The person in the middle must sit in the open chair. The person that would have been next into the open chair is now “it”! Great icebreaker ga
Everyone is on the floor is dancing to a fast song. The DJ calls out a number; “3!” and people get into groups of 3. Anyone NOT in a group is out and goes to the outside of the dance floor. Continue until you declare a winner(s).
Everyone likes a soda now and then, right? Pair up with a partner; face them across the field or gym. One side is Coke, the other Pepsi. When the DJ calls Coke, this side runs across to tag their partner. If it’s Pepsi the other side runs across. Last one back to the base line is out. Watch the fun begin as other sodas and directions for each are added!
No Sand Required! Teams of four are formed with three people making a basket and one “Free Throw” shooter. The shooter is given a beach ball and needs to make a set number of baskets into their teams “Human Hoop”. To make things a bit more challenging, they need to do it with their back to their team. First team to set number of baskets wins!
Have participants line up in groups of 5-20 depending on your group’s size, to form at least three teams. The person at the front of the line is given a spoon and a ping-pong ball. The first person must carry the spoon with the ball on it in their teeth across to the limit line without dropping the ball. Then they turn around and return, passing the spoon/ball to the next person on their team. The first team to complete the task wins. Penalties for dropping the ball, advancing without having the ball on the spoon, etc. are added to increase the challenge!
