“Just a little note to say ‘Thank You’ for the great job you did with the role of MC and the evening music at our wedding on 10th September 2005. Our guests have all said what a fun time they had and really enjoyed the evening as it was light-hearted and fun, so you must take much of the credit for that! In particular the ‘Chicken Dance’ or as the Brits know it; ‘The Birdie Song’. I personally was dreading, but I have to say Crispen (the guy who requested it) was so funny performing it right at the front, and I was surprised at how many people did a ‘what the heck!’ and joined in – including Dave & I! You also did a great job of completing the Bouquet & Garter throw and it was so funny that a brother and sister ended up catching the respective items… Take care!”
COVER ME: Listen to the Music (In A Different Way)
We’ve all heard them on the Celestial / broadcast or Internet stations before and had this reaction: “I know that song – but I like the original. “X” did it better.” We’re talking about “covers” – songs recorded by people after they’ve been made famous (or not) by another singer or songwriter. We will always have an affinity to the version of the song we grew up with.
